Wheat Field Mini-Sessions - This Weekend Only

The amber waves of grain are waving in the breeze,

and combines are starting to roll, and dust trails behind.

Growing up on a farm and in a large wheat-growing family,

I absolutely LOVE this time of year!

Each year, we would take our family pictures in the fields,

and I always knew that I wanted to get married on the farm.

And that is exactly what we did!

Now that we are back in Kansas,

I am excited to share that I am going to offer 

Wheat Field Mini-Sessions.

My dad is going to hold off on cutting until next week,

so the fields are available this weekend. 

Please check the schedule below,

and let me know if you are interested in a slot. 

The field is located at the I-135 & I-70 interchange in Salina.

Just 6 days new, and I was in baby heaven!

The teensy hands holding a finger.

The bitty toes that will walk only too soon.

The cry that wants held tight.

The face of an angel.

I can never get enough of a newborn session!

Not only did I get to spend my day with Little Man,

but Big Sis made so much tea to share with all!

Reynolds Family {Sneak Peek}

Love, love my teacher friends!

Another special session spent with a teacher family at the Arboretum,

and we somehow managed to keep all of the white pants clean

amongst all of the fun that we were having in the wet grass. 

With Father's Day soon approaching, we definitely captured some for Daddy

with those precious eyes!

O'Brien Family {Sneak Peek}

I officially have less than one week left in Texas, 

and I continue to meet such wonderful families,

making it so hard to leave!

I met these kiddos in their front yard for an evening of play tonight.

We played on the swings, rode in the wagon, drove trucks, and ate scrumptious raisins!

So many great shots to choose from in the gorgeous evening sun,

I don't know how I'm ever going to choose!

Rock The Shot

May is busy!

Busy with school.

Busy with plans.

Here is my favorite this past month...

So many beautiful sessions in this field of blue,

but this one picture melts my heart.

Texas Bluebonnets

A long tradition,

My stay here was short,

but I will hold it close to my heart.

Berumen Family {Sneak Peek}

A few months ago, I met this family in the bluebonnet fields of Texas.

Miss C was shy, but sometimes we just need a little silliness to get our motors started.

Children are what keep me going, and I live to laugh with them.

After a few minutes of playing peek-a-boo and hunting for Elmo in my camera lens,

little Miss C was warming up! What a b-e-a-utiful smile!

Such a special session for me...a photographer's dream to know that those moments 

we capture are truly treasured!

Mama was so pleased with the smiles that we were able to snap, 

we immediately scheduled another session!

In the Texas heat, we spent the afternoon playing at the Heritage Museum. 

Little Miss C was full of giggles, and we played and played and played!

Cannot wait to go through this session and edit so many smiles!

Baby Cameron

Being a teacher is something I grew up wanting to do...

ever since I met my 2nd grade teacher, Ms. Carazo!

Playing with kids, grading papers, and creating bulletin boards...

that was going to be a dream come true some day!

Goodness, how things change! 

Grading papers and bulletin boards = my 2 least favorite things!

One thing I never thought about was the friendships I would make with fellow teachers.

Day in, day out. 

We pass each other 30+ times a day in the hallway, seek each other out for support, 

and tell stories in the lounge over lunch. 

I watched this little man grow each day in his mommy's tummy,

and we counted down the days until his arrival!

I had the privilege of spending an afternoon together with this new family of 3,

and I couldn't be happier for them!

It's almost as if he's even a part of my family...my teaching family!

Mr. Jonah {Sneak Peek}

What a beautiful, overcast morning for a photoshoot!

Probably my last trip to the Dallas Arboretum,

this family invited me along for a morning of laughter.

I absolutely love the sessions when the models are willing to

do whatever I ask them to!

Mr. Jonah has discovered his feet, and couldn't stop staring!

Mom and Dad kept me laughing at their contant ability

to bring his attention above his feet!

What a fun and lively crew they are!

Miss Olivia

An early morning shoot for this little girl,

and she was such a happy camper!

Wherever we set her down, 

she was ready to go with a smile on her face!

Pushing up and on the verge of crawling,

you could just see the curiosity in her eyes!
