It has been a family tradition for years to take pictures in the wheat every June.
So I decided: why not share the love with others?
I cannot even begin to explain how special this family is to me, and to our community. I met the Murnahans 11 years ago when Crystal was the youth director at our church. Not only did Crystal lead us in youth ministry, but Steve was a regular youth as well. He attended every event, wrestled with the boys, and made us laugh uncontrollably with his jokes! Our church family was extremely close, and I remember celebrating the marriage of these 2 special role models in my life! They were parents in the making! Three years ago, Little Hayden came into their lives. The joy and happiness that he brings to this world shows in his smile. He is truly is one of God's angels, and lights up this world! Hayden was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease at 9 months of age, and has endured many obstacles that are unimaginable for a young child. About a month ago, Hayden was blessed with a kidney from a donor from our precious youth group. He is continuing to undergo close observation and take medications, but is doing extremely well. His trip to the wheat field was his first large outing in over a month, and I cannot even begin to express how moving it was to spend a few minutes with him out on the farm!
