It's been over a year now that I have owned my Canon DSLR,

and I run around here, and there, snapping pictures for families and myself.

I've always wanted a cute strap, so I researched online for one to buy.

They are so expensive...and not cute.

So, I then decided that it was probably time to dust off the 'ol sewing machine.

I bought fabric for seasonal slip covers to ensure the security with the Canon strap.

The original tutorial can be found here.

However, I found that this strap was MUCH to short to cover my Canon strap.

It left the letters hanging out on each end. 

So, I improvised and pieced together what I had to make longer slips!

They turned out so cute!

I had PLENTY of fabric for my 4 seasonal straps, 

and went ahead to make as many as I could with what I had.

Baby Evelyn

I met beautiful Baby Evelyn a few weeks ago.

The Kansas Heat was stifling, so we spent the afternoon indoors,

and met for an quick family session a few evenings later.

Living just across the street from me,

I can't wait to watch this little princess grow!

Ross & Megan - Engaged {Sneak Peek}

Although this was by far my warmest session to date, this couple ROCKED it! We traipsed around downtown Wichita mid-afternoon, in 110 degree heat, around old cars in every nook & cranny 

for the car show, danced to oldies, and cooled off in a waterfall! 

With all of the fun we had, I can't wait to capture their wedding in September!

Kansas Heat. Phew.

Nothing like taking pictures at 3:00 in the dead heat of summer, right? 

You take one look at this gorgeous couple, and would NEVER know how hot it was!

One thing I have loved about this profession is connected with old friends. It's been 10 years since I last saw Jen at our graduation, and they rocked this session in the summer sun! I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful couple than these two lovebirds. Going on 4 years of marriage, and still completely head over heals for one another! She is absolutely stunning, and he is a natural with grins for the camera.
