Snapshot Collage

Just some random shots I got while playing around with my camera.

A New Obsession

Poor Nathan has listened to it for years..."someday I want a camera!" Yeah, yeah, I have my little pocket camera (which I love, don't get me wrong...it can even fit in my little clutches for going out at night), but I mean a beefy camera! My wish finally came true, and even with a smile on my sweet husband's face. I've been messing around with different settings, as well as subjects these past few weeks. From a newborn family member, to a 3rd birthday princess party, my best friend's baby shower, and nannying for two very busy young boys all summer, I have had plenty of options! With this new obsession, there is definitely more to come...stay tuned!

An Easter Itch

Nathan and I are so blessed to have such a wonderful family, branching in each direction! This past Easter, the Hughes clan came down to Dallas to celebrate the weekend with us. Along with his parents came Rick's new toy...a Canon camera! Although it was new for Rick, he didn't get much use out of it during that weekend because I was snapping photos left and right! Little did they all know that they had just witnessed what started "The Itch" for me to begin my photography adventure! Here are some photos that I took during our Easter weekend full of golf courses, red wine, gourmet meals with our beloved Granny Hughes' table setting, the sounds of a Harley, playing fetch with Rascal, and confetti filled eggs.

Ya' Got Me! I'm Hooked on Blogging!

College came to a close years ago. I met a guy, got married, and moved away. Friends are both near and far. Family is out in the boondocks.

Through the wonderful invention of blogs (and a little thing called Facebook), I feel that I have really been able to keep up on life with all of you! So, I guess I have to say....I'm Hooked! Ya Got Me!

Nathan and I have adjusted well to life here in The Big D. I teach, he studies.

We work, we play.

We adventure through the city, we travel home to Kansas.

There's date night, there's girl's night.

We've seen snow giving us 4 days out of school (for under 6 inches of accumulation!), and we've cooked in 30+ straight triple digit heat. He loves his finance research, I love my new camera!

No matter what's going on, the Hughes' sure are living it up here in Texas! We make the most of every Little Moment that life has to offer!
